Distant Healing: Timeless Connections Beyond Miles

Distant Reiki is very useful in that Reiki energy can be sent beyond time and space.  It can be sent across any distance and it can be sent to the future as well as the past and present.  Reiki can be used for physical healing, emotional healing, situational healing, and spiritual healing.  Reiki can be used for protection, clarity, focus, and achieving balance in ones' lives. Distant Reiki can also be used for all these things.  It is just "hands-off" instead of "hands-on". Distant Reiki is a wonderful offering for people who cannot leave their homes to get Reiki treatments or don't have any practitioners living near them.  

“Energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can only be changed from one form to another.”  Although this was a quote from Albert Einstein, it is also a fundamental law of physics and thus not subject to time and distance/space. One of the forms energy can take is as matter. When I thought about this it explained to me the function of manifestation, which is a very exciting understanding.  What we know then is that energy is timeless and beyond space.  Reiki brings us access to the Universal Life Force Energy that we can use to transform and/or heal us if channeled properly.  Those of us who have gone through the coursework taught by Reiki Masters have learned how to channel this wonderful energy.

As scientists are discovering, in many circumstances physical illness or negative physical conditions are sponsored by non-physical factors such as stress, anger, regret, sadness.  Often times healings through the use of Reiki energy take longer than taking a pill to feel better.  Reiki goes where it is most needed first, so if a physical ailment had it's origin through an emotional factor, it may start with the emotional factor first.  It will work towards healing the original problem first that led to or is still contributing to the physical ailment.  It is assuring that Reiki will never harm, you just have to be open-minded enough to know that there is a benefit to any Reiki treatment, even if it is not what you think it will be.   Reiki, however, is not to be considered as a replacement for medical diagnosis and treatment, it works in conjunction with other healing modalities to facilitate healing and support, including medical.

Distant Reiki is also great for treating animals who may not sit still for long or perhaps could be dangerous. Animals respond extremely well to Reiki and they love it.  My cats know when I am doing Reiki work on myself and they all want to be near or on my lap.  In one instance, I had a cat that was in the end stages of renal failure and he slept most of the time and also had a very hard time getting around at this point.  As I was giving Reiki to a friend of mine my cat, Jerry, was sleeping on the bed, but he got up on wobbly haunches and worked his way over to my friend.  Jerry found the space between my friend's arm and body and slowly wedged himself between them, purring the whole time.  My friend and I were astounded but proceeded with the Reiki treatment.  My veterinarian was surprised at Jerry's longevity.  He remained alive until a little after his 18th birthday when the vet said a year before that he probably wouldn't last but a month or so.  Jerry got regular Reiki treatments and never seemed to suffer from the horrible symptoms that most cats suffer from in the end stages of renal failure.  He indicated to us when it was time to go and we took him to the vet for a gentle passing.

We, as Reiki practitioners cannot guarantee outcomes since Reiki goes where it needs to go.  We are trained not to focus on or expect any outcomes other than for the clients' highest good.  You could say Reiki energy "has a mind of it's own" and we cannot predict what it will treat, but it is always good.  Some people may become emotional during a Reiki treatment, but that is often when Reiki is working on emotional issues and they come to the surface, but it was probably necessary and appropriate.

If you need or want to stay in your own home to get Reiki treatments, Distant Reiki is the way to go.  You should make an appointment with me at a time when you can be in quiet surroundings either sitting or lying down.  If you have to move around or go somewhere, Reiki will still work, but you may notice it less or not at all during the treatment period.  Sometimes it is subtle and sometimes it is profound, but either way, be receptive and know it is working.  Often you don't know it worked until one day you realize you are not suffering from an ailment anymore.
